asheville is fun, i used to have family there and when my family would drive out to the outerbanks wed always stop there to visit and stay the night

My best friend goes to Warren Wilson. I flew down last year for spring break and we spent the week touring Asheville and the rest of the state. It was a blast.

No doubt - my last visit I was stuck on 26 not even during any sort of rush hour. Just too many cars for the number of lanes.

When we got stuck on 26 we were south, not too far past the airport exit and close to the Biltmore Park Town Square. Stayed somewhere new this past time up at the Sourwood Inn. Beautiful area, but a bit of a treacherous drive in the dark and fog when you aren’t familiar with the roads.

Elk Mountain Road is one of my favorite ways to shoot up to the parkway, I pass that Inn all the time. Beautiful and twisty, but I’ve had more close encounters with black bears on that mountain than anywhere else.
